Southwestern College's Eager Heart

Southwestern College will present its 82nd Annual production of the Christmas Mystery Play EAGER HEART on December 3, 4 and 7, and the Campus Players have honored me by inviting me to join them in the role of the Old Shepherd.  Having heard about Eager Heart since I was 17, it is a thrill to finally be a part of this lovely tradition. Here is the performance schedule:

December 3rd, Messenger Auditiorium (Southwestern Campus) at 11:00 AM

December 4th, Grace United Methodist Church, 320 College St, Winfield, KS at 6:30 PM

December 7th, Ark City, KS First United Methodist Church, 2448 Edgemont Dr, Arkansas City, KS at 10:30 AM

Air Capital Chorus Christmas Radio Hour

I will be appearing as part of the Air Capital Chorus' annual benefit Christmas Radio Hour.  We will be taping the show before a live audience at Wichita's Scottish Rite Temple on December 16th at 7 PM.  Admission is a donation of at least one non-perishable food item.  The show will air on Christmas day (time TBA) on radio station KNSS 1330 AM in the Wichita listening area.  For those of you out of the area you will be able to listen online via the link below!

On Golden Pond

 I am about to start assistant directing Wichita Community Theatre's production of ON GOLDEN POND!  We have what I think will be an amazing cast and working with director Alison Chambers is sure to be a treat.  The show will run Sept. 10 - 14 (Wednesday thru Saturday at 8 PM, Sunday at 7 PM), so be sure to drop by and check it out.  I will also be assisting Crystal Meek for their production of AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY, which will open early in 2015.  Stay tuned for more details!

A Christmas Carol at Wichita's Forum Theatre

I will again be performing in the Forum Theatre's Production of A CHRISTMAS CAROL, but this year will be playing Bob Cratchit.  This version features songs by my cousin Paul Jackson, who will also be directing the show this year.  Performance dates are December 5th thru the 22nd.  Evening performances are Thursday thru Saturday at 8 PM with matinees on Thursday and Sunday.  You can get further details and tickets by visiting the theatre's website: http://forumtheaterwichita.com/upcoming-events.html

19th Annual Mary Jane Teall Awards

The nominees for the 2013 MJT Awards (the awards for excellence in Wichita theatre) were announced today and I am pleased to say that I was nominated in two categories:  Lead Male Comedy for GREATER TUNA (where my wonderful co-star Scott Noah was also nominated) and Supporting Male Musical for my role as Herr Schultz in CABARET.  The awards will be presented at Cabaret Old Town Theatre on Sept. 23, but as they say, it truly is an honor to be nominated!
