OLIVER!/2016 Christmas Radio Hour

Dan has two upcoming shows in December, both taking place at Wichita's Scottish Rite Temple.  First up is WSR Signature Theatre's production of OLIVER!, where Dan wil be portraying Mr. Brownlow (aka Oliver's grandfather).  Performances are Dec. 2, 3, 9 and 10 at 8 PM and Dec. 4 and 11 at 7 PM.  Tickets can be purchased at selectaseat.com or by calling 316-648-9043.

On Dec. 13th Dan will once again be a part of the Air Capital Chorus Christmas Radio Hour, which is being recorded for broadcast on Christmas Day.  The show starts at 7 PM and admission to the studio audience is a can of food to be donated to the Wichita Food Bank.  If you can't attend the show live, it will be broadcast on the morning of Dec 24th at 8 AM central time on radio station KNSS 1330/98.7 FM.  You can listen on the web at www.knssradio.com, where it will also be available as a podcast after the original airing.

The 2016 Mary Jane Teall Awards

Dan was thrilled to be honored with two Mary Jane Teall Awards (for excellence in Wichita theatre) this year! He won for Best Supporting Actor for his role as Charley in DEATH OF A SALESMAN, and as Best Director Of A Musical (with Ann-Marie Rogers) for [title of show].  Dan is also very proud of the fact that his production of [title of show] won 11 awards, every single award for which it was nominated, including Outstanding City Wide Musical! In addition the other Wichita productions Dan was involved with did very well this year.  DEATH OF A SALESMAN won 5 total awards, including Outstanding City Wide Drama; A CHRISTMAS STORY also won 5 awards, including Outstanding City Wide Comedy; and A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE won 2 awards. Congratulations to everyone!

The Rocky Horror Show

Dan will be portraying Dr. Scott in WSR Signature Theatre's production of THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW, running Oct 21 - 31 at the Wichita Scottish Rite Center.  Performances are on Oct. 21, 22, 28 & 29 at 8 PM, Oct. 23 & 30 at 7 PM and October 31 at 11:59 PM.  Tickets can be ordered by calling 316-648-9043 or going to selectaseat.com.

The 2016 Mary Jane Teall Awards Nominations

Dan is very honored to be nominated for two MJT awards this year: Outstanding Supporting Actor as Charley in DEATH OF A SALESMAN and Oustanding Director of a Musical (along with co-director Ann-Marie Rogers) for [title of show].  [title of show] garnered 10 total nominations (and a special award for Media Design), more nominations than any other show this season.  The MJT Awards celebrate excellence in theatre in the Wichita area, and will be handed out Sept. 26 at the Mosley Street Melodrama.

HAIRSPRAY at Southwestern College's Summer Theatre Festival

Dan E. will be playing Edna Turnblad in HAIRSPRAY at SC's Summer Theatre Festival in the Richardson Performing Arts Center in Winfield, KS on July 15 and 16th at 7:30 PM and July 17th at 2:00 PM.  Check back for further details!
